Meet the Pros

Frank and Kimi run every program at Boyle Park, from first lessons to match play.

Meet Frank Van Riggelen

Frank learned the game on these courts at age 30, joined Chris Reiff's staff in 1997, left a corporate management career in 2008 to teach full time, and has spent 29 years teaching Mill Valley: five-year-olds in the after-school program who went on to play for Tam High and in college, adults taking a first lesson at 50, and the seniors who play every morning.

“I love this work. I love the community it has allowed me to build. I love that I get up every morning excited to interact with, teach, and learn from the people around me. I love watching people grow in skill, but also in confidence, and find their place in this community.”

Meet Kimi Kaloi

Kimi grew up on the public courts of a small town in Hawaii, playing every day with her parents and two sisters. She became a top-10 nationally ranked junior and a four-time Hawaii state doubles champion, played Division I tennis at Loyola Marymount University, and has coached since she was 16: Resort programs, High School Varsity teams in Honolulu and San Francisco, and today high-performance juniors and adults.

“This sport has given me so much throughout my lifelifelong relationships, an education, incredible opportunities, mentors who shaped me, and lessons that extend far beyond the court. I feel a genuine responsibility and desire to give some of that back. Boyle Park represents an opportunity to do exactly that in a community setting that already feels deeply familiar to me."
